Top Ten Tuesday: Books You Can Finish in One Sitting

onesittingTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is reading in one sitting and I’m gonna share some books that you can finish really quickly.

1. A Match Made in High School by Kristin Walker
A very light and funny read about pairing up students for marriage education. I don’t read contemporary a lot but this one is a surprise.

2. Cracked Up To Be by Courtney Summers
Courtney Summers’s books are all short and realistic. You won’t realise you’re reading that fast until you’re on the last page.

3. The Grownup by Gillian Flynn
You can finish this spooky short story in an hour or two because well, it’s a short story.

4. Obsidian (Lux #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
This book is ridiculously intriguing and the sexual tension between the two main characters will keep you reading and wishing you already had the second book in hand when you finish it.

5. We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
The plot twist wasn’t that surprising for me. I guessed it early on. The reason why I read it fast is that I wanted to know if I got it right. I think the mystery will keep you up as well.

6. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
One of the hardest book to read but since the plot is so gripping, you won’t be able to put it down.

7. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
A very cute story about first love. The book is short so you can finish it in a day. I did.

8. Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King
It is terrifying but you want to discover the truth behind the mystery. Who’s the monster???

9. When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
A children’s sci-fi story that is suitable for all ages. It’s heartwarming and will have you in tears when you finally put the book down.

10. Chasing Brooklyn by Lisa Schroeder
If you’ve read any work by Lisa Schroeder you’ll know that she write verse novels. Chasing Brooklyn was my first read of the genre and I actually like it. It’s a really quick read even though it’s 412 pages long. I highly recommend it if you are trying to get out of a reading slump.

Have you read any of the books on my list? What books did you read in one sitting?
